About Our Bhutan Tours

General information on our Bhutan tours

The distinctive Bhutanese architecture is as evident in a farm house as in the massive dzongsPage Contents

We operate the listed tours as weekly departures with a minimum requirement of three participants. In case there are less than three sign-ups, we will still operate the tour; however an FIT surcharge will apply. We limit the maximum group size to 12, and on most departures we have been four and eight people. Our groups tend to be an international mix of people from different walks of life, mostly between 20 and 50 years old.

Our partnership with quality operators in Bhutan ensures a smooth journey and a memorable experience. There are no join-ins or "pooling" once the tour starts. Trips involving overland journeys use 4WD Land Cruiser for small groups, and Toyota Coaster minibuses for larger groups.

We can operate private departures for any number of people; we also operate longer driving & trekking tours in Central and East Bhutan. Contact us for more information.

Visas & Permits

All visitors require a visa to enter Bhutan. Visas are only issued on arrival at Paro airport; however, a visa authorization needs to be obtained beforehand. We will obtain your visa authorization; this must be done at least one week before your intended arrival in Bhutan.

Hotel Selection

We use the best available hotels on our tours; they are all clean and well-maintained, though hotels vary in style and quality from town to town. Accommodation is on twin-sharing, full-board basis. All hotels have their own restaurants and some also have a bar. Traditional Bhutanese cuisine is very hot and spicy. The food served to tourists is tempered to western tastes and includes western dishes. Evening meals are invariably buffet style and served in the dining rooms of the hotels.
