trek with a 2-day raft descent of the Seti Khola connecting to a
wildlife safari in the lowland jungles of Chitwan, this family classic
introduces you to the best of the mountains, rivers, and jungles
of this fabled Himalayan kingdom.
This short foothill trek offers the trekker superb panoramas of the Central Nepal Himalaya and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Starting by the shores of the Phewa Tal (lake) in Pokhara, we climb onto the ridgeline and follow the beautiful Harpan Khola valley to the vantage point atop Panchase Lekh. Our trail loops back down the picturesque valley to the shores of the lake. This long-forgotten, now seldom-trekked area is inhabited by Brahmins, Chhettris, and Gurungs, their pleasant settlements interspersed among the terraced hillsides and forested slopes.
The Seti is an excellent introduction to rafting in Nepal. Its warm blue waters flow through scenic gorges and cultivated valleys, punctuated with exciting rapids. You take-out from the river near Chitwan, and spend the next two days exploring the jungles on elephant-back, on canoes, and on foot, escorted by resident naturalists.

Day 1 Arrival and orientation. Afternoon tour of old Kathmandu.
Day 2 Morning tour of Swayambhunath stupa and Patan.
Afternoon flight to Pokhara.
Day 3 Start trek at Phewa Tal (2,690'); trek to
Bhumdi (6,400'); Camp.
Day 4 Trek to Panchase (7,550'); Camp.
Day 5 Early morning climb Panchase Lekh (8,230'); trek to Bhadaure
(5,750'); Camp.
Day 6 Finish trek at Pame (2,700'), by the shores of Phewa Tal in
Pokhara.
Day 7 Morning at leisure. Afternoon Pokhara sightseeing tour.
Day 8 Early morning drive to rafting put-in point; orientation;
start rafting. Camp.
Day 9 Morning continue rafting; afternoon drive to Chitwan;
orientation; wildlife safari activity.
Day 10 Wildlife safari activities
Day 11 Morning flight to Kathmandu; afternoon tour
of Thimi & Bhaktapur.
Day 12 Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour of Pashupatinath temple
& Boudhanath stupa.
Day 13 Full day at leisure or for optional activities.
Day 14 Depart for onward destination.
