Our
most popular Nepal family holiday introduces you to the beautiful
ethnic mosaic and breathtaking scenery of the mountains of Nepal
on a 4-day foothill camping trek, followed by a wildlife safari
riding elephants to explore the dense lowland jungles of the Royal
Chitwan National Park.
This short foothill trek offers the trekker superb panoramas of
the Central Nepal Himalaya and spectacular views of the surrounding
countryside. Starting by the shores of the Phewa Tal (lake) in Pokhara,
we climb onto the ridgeline and follow the beautiful Harpan Khola
valley to the vantage point atop Panchase Lekh. Our trail loops
back down the picturesque valley to the shores of the lake. This
long-forgotten, now seldom-trekked area is inhabited by Brahmins,
Chhettris, and Gurungs, their pleasant settlements interspersed
among the terraced hillsides and forested slopes. The trip makes
for an excellent introduction to trekking in Nepal!
